All participants are welcome to bring their own Hanuman Chalisa booklet or personal copy for chanting. Chinmaya Mission will provide seating, havan materials and essential amenities at the venue. You may wish to bring a water bottle and a cushion or mat for added comfort. Above all, bring an open heart and a spirit of devotion to fully embrace the sacred ceremony.

Participants may choose traditional Indian attire, such as kurta-pajama, saree or salwar-kameez. Clothing should be modest, comfortable for seated ceremonies and respectful of the event’s spiritual setting.

Gates open at 7:30 AM on July 11, 2026. We recommend arriving early to find parking and get settled before the Havan commences. Please refer to the event schedule for the full programme timeline.

The event is held at DuPage County Fairgrounds, Wheaton, IL 60187. Ample parking is available on site. Detailed directions and parking information will be shared with registered participants closer to the event date.

Chicago Chants Chalisa is a FREE community learning programme where families learn to chant the complete Hanuman Chalisa in just 5 weekly sessions. Classes are held on weekends across Chinmaya Mission centres in the Chicagoland area — open to all ages, all levels, and completely free.

No experience is needed at all. The programme is designed for all ages and all levels — from complete beginners to seasoned devotees. Books are provided and sessions are simple, fun and welcoming. Just sign up and show up!
