This Privacy Policy describes how the Vāyuputra in Windy City mobile application (“the App”) handles information. The App is provided by Chinmaya Mission Chicago (“we,” “us,” or “our”) as a free community service for the Samashti Hanuman Chalisa Havan event held on July 11, 2026.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not require you to create an account or log in. We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, phone number, password, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information within the App.
Information the App Accesses
To provide event features, the App:
- Reads publicly available event statistics (such as registration counts and the live Havan tracker) from a Google Sheet maintained by the event organizers. This data is general event information and is not linked to you personally.
- Displays images and content loaded from our website, vayuputra.org, and other public sources.
- Opens external links (for example, registration, sponsorship, YouTube videos, maps, and phone or email contacts) in your device’s browser or corresponding app when you tap them.
Actions such as event registration, sponsorship, and donations take place on our website (vayuputra.org) or third-party services, outside of the App. Any information you provide on those external sites is governed by their respective privacy policies, not this one.
Third-Party Services
When you tap a link in the App, you may be taken to third-party services, including but not limited to Google Maps, YouTube, our registration website, and our donation platform. These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party services.
Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for a general, all-ages audience attending a family-friendly religious and cultural event. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or from any user.
Data Security
Because the App does not collect or store personal information, there is no personal data for us to secure or share. Content is transmitted over standard secure (HTTPS) connections.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
